Masconomet Regional High School, Topsfield, MA
Position: High school art educator
Courses: Art Studio I, II, III, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Ceramics, Fashion Design I & II
Responsibilities Include:
•Syllabi creation and curriculum development
•Teaching the fundamentals of critical thinking and problem solving, painting, drawing, sculpting, printmaking, illustrating and designing to students ranging from freshmen to seniors and at varying ability levels
•Managing all aspects of the studio classroom, from materials and processes to classroom management
•Provide ongoing critique of work in process – both formally and informally
•Attend school wide and department meetings and provide feedback on issues concerning the Masconomet community
Professional Service to the High School
•Member of the Masconomet Ethical Literacy Committee, a program created to teach high school students the importance of building strong character
Key Successes:
•Developed the fashion design program at Masconomet, to offer students a realistic glimpse into the demands of the fashion industry and teach them the skills needed to be successful in a fashion career
•Created a partnership with Youth Development Organization, a group that offers a variety of opportunities to middle school students from Lawrence, MA. Developed an art program for these students, which also included Masco students.
•Participated each year in the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Show and have had students win both local and national awards

Arlington School, Lawrence, MA
Position: Building Based Substitute
Courses: All subjects – grades 5-8
Responsibilities included:
•Teaching students the fundamentals of various subject areas such as reading, writing, math, science, social studies and art
•Attending all faculty meetings to discuss and provide feedback on issues pertaining to the Arlington School
Key Success:
•Worked with students after school to create an art club
•Created set displays for elementary school plays
Professional Experience
March 2000 – March 2002
Talbots Design Headquarters, New York, NY
Position: Associate Designer – Woven Casual area
•Along with the head designer, worked to create and manage the woven casual division from design to production of garments
Responsibilities included:
•Working with Art and Development department to discuss upcoming trends
•Collaborating with surface pattern designers to create prints
•Communicating with fabric development department to choose fabrics
•Creating flat sketches and illustrations of original designs
•Communicating with over-seas factories during the production of sample and production garments
•Working with buyers to make sure the needs of the customer are met while also providing fashion forward clothing
•Managing all aspects of each garment, from fabric information to trim details
Key Successes:
•Designed best selling items for Talbots during time of employment
February 1999 – February 2000
KGR Design Offices, New York, NY
Position: Assistant Designer – Private Label
•Along with head designer, worked to create and manage original designs for such companies as: Talbots, Lands End, LL Bean, and Nordstroms.
Responsibilities included:
•Meeting with trim vendors and keeping an up to date library of available trims for garments
•Working with Head Designer to create design boards for client meetings
•Flat Sketching
•Managing the production of sample garments
September 1997 – March 1999
KGR, Lawrence, MA
Position: Assistant Technical Designer
•Managed the creation of sample garments and created technical packages for each one
Responsibilities included:
•Creating computer generated flat sketches for each garment using the computer
•Creating technical packages for each garment
•Working with pattern makers, trim department and sample garment makers to ensure the correct production of each garment
•Communicated with design office in New York regarding various design details
